Overview
Tisane Moderation Plugin for Instagram monitors comments for inappropriate content.
About the monitoring
The plugin monitors your channel for new comments using one of two modes: push (default) or pull.
Push mode uses Instagram's webhook to notify the plugin instantly when a new comment is posted.
Pull mode scans for new comments at an interval configured in settings. Notifications are sent to you by email.
Managing problematic messages
When a flagged message is detected:
- It is hidden or deleted (depending on the setting)
- You are notified of the action by email
- The commenter is notified by an Instagram message (if the setting is on)
Best practices
We recommend you turn off Safe Mode.
Review settings before going live
Before starting to use the plugin, adjust settings to match your channel’s moderation needs.
Limitations
Message rate limits
Notifications will appear if the message limit is reached. For higher message volumes, upgrade your plan or contact us for on-prem installation options.
To estimate your projected message count: Multiply the number of active users in your game by 1,000.
Detection accuracy
Detection might misclassify messages. Some harmless messages may be misclassified as problematic, and some problematic messages might be overlooked.
Use a minimal number of languages for improved accuracy. Short messages (<20 characters) might be misclassified due to language overlaps. For example: “status” is a word used in English, Spanish, and French.
